Hey I am excited about everything. I like to sing and dance. I love costumes and clean jokes. And to write. I'm currently teaching fourth grade at an international school in Hong Kong. I travel quite a bit and watch a lot of youtube compilations of dogs when I'm sad. Let's be friends.

Grateful for all my Galentines and Palentines ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
The many faces of friendsmas 2020.
Iโ€™ll want to remember this holiday season and those who did it with me. ๐Ÿ’•
Story time! I was rummaging through some stuff this weekend and found a bunch of postcards Iโ€™d bought four years ago when I first moved here and never sent (Iโ€™m from a family of compulsive card buyers). I filled some out at work and was walking home today to stamp them and looked up and realized - I had manifested my current neighborhood. I live just to the left of this image. This is 150 feet from my doorstep. When I bought these, I lived miles away in Causeway Bay with three strangers and two disabled dogs in Times Square and haaaaated it. Now I live alone for the first time in a wee studio filled with plants and fish and often friends and now postcards I will send. #saiyingpun
Years from now, lord willing, when weโ€™re all okay, and covid is a story we tell about a year-something long struggle we navigated as a world, and worked together to solve, I want to remember walking around Hong Kong and looking for Chinese banyan trees to take pictures of, because I couldnโ€™t take my students on our normal field trip as we studied trees. I want to remember the humidity, and the mask sticking to my face. I want to feel grateful for technology that made these times easier, for the measures in Hong Kong that made our lives easier, for the friends I had that got me through it. Some of those friends were trees.
So much and so many to be thankful for, even with a visit from the cops! ๐Ÿ˜‚ You all have a permanent invite to all future Friendsgivings! Thank you for indulging this silly and emotional American. ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฆƒ hashtag blessed by my Hong Kong family.
