• If you haven’t already, please join the facebook back “Praying for Robyn and the Bickerton Family.” There are almost one thousand people around the world in this group! I don’t know much beyond that page, but will continue to post things here for those of you do not have facebook, that are friends with me and Susan from work, or speak Spanish, or are googling for info, because I know information is a comfort! But if you have facebook, that page is the best way to stay updated.
  • The family has asked that all questions be directed to robynupdate@yahoo.com, as the official channel of news, so that they may stay open to God’s direction and available to pray and intercede for Robin. I am so inspired by the faith of this awesome family and how they are turning to God in every moment. Join that email list to get connected with the community that is praying for her!

It has been six days since Robyn’s accident…and we have a lot of things to keep praying for! As you are going through out your day…please be praying for her healing…pray for the family…immediate prayers are needed for swelling in her brain to go down, and praise for the good numbers in her oxygen levels!

Last night she had a CT scan. I heard from Mel today and we PTL because her brain oxygen levels look good! , The nurses said that the scan looked about the same as the last one, and they were waiting for official news from the surgeon. Let’s pray for encouraging news!If these scans and other things look good, they could try to start bringing her out of her induced coma this week. That would be tremendous!

Robyn and Karla en Mexico

Robyn was stable enough this weekend for Charlie to fly home Saturday morning and begin packing up as they prepare to live long-term in Santa Barbara. He came to church and gave a testimony via video detailing more about Robyn’s accident. It was extremely powerful as he spoke about the many miracles they’ve seen already in this journey and God’s hand in it all….

The accident happened at 3:07pm on Wednesday, 40 miles north of Santa Barbara, around Buellton. Robyn had dropped things off at Westmont and was heading home. She was talking with the family on speakerphone when she swerved (unknown reasons) and then her car rolled seven times. It “happened” to land on the wheels and there was an off-duty firefighter who also “happens” to be one of the best paramedics in the state who saw her accident and was there within 1.5 minutes. He cleared her airway and stabilized her on a piece of plywood from a construction site that “happened” to be right there. She is at Cottage Hospital under the care of one of the top brain doctors in the world (Praise God!), and his personal nurse assistant “happens” to be the mother of a woman from our church. She met with the family and they have been able to pray together, which has been a huge comfort. And of course the miracle of the skull fracture that would have been *exactly* what the doctors would have done, is, as Charlie put it, the work of angels in that car performing a heavenly surgery!

We know that all these “circumstances” are the grace of God on Robyn. Gloria a Dios!

Charlie, Susan, and Melanie covet our prayers not only for Robyn’s complete healing, but to keep them in sync as a family and holding fast to the Lord. We will definitely pray for their continued strength and discernment for Robyn’s healing.God clearly has His hand in all of this, and I know He hears our prayers. Please keep lifting the family up! It sounds like there will also be some opportunities for people to show their love for  Rob and fam through upcomingi fundraisers across the state of California, to help with the crazy costs associated with hospital stays and rehabilitation. We shall keep everyone posted. We love you Rob!! Pray without ceasing. Trust in the Lord always.

 “Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him;

I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.’”
